About Gud Ka Halwa Recipe: Indian dessert made with semolina, jaggery and loads of nuts. This halwa is perfect to ward off cold and cough blues. Gud ka halwa is a great option to make during the winters for a dinner party.
Ingredients Of Gud Ka Halwa
- 2 1/2 Tbsp ghee
- 1 cup semolina , soaked
- 50 gms gud (soaked in 1 cup water)
- 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
- A pinch of saffron
- 50 gms pistachio, sliced
- 50 gms almonds, sliced
- 4 tbsp shakkar / brown sugar
How to Make Gud Ka Halwa
- 1.Soak semolina in water for 20 minutes.
- 2.Heat ghee in a heavy bottomed vessel, add the semolina and roast till it turns brown.
- 3.Add the jaggery water and cardamom powder, saffron, green pista, almonds, brown sugar and continue stirring till the halwa reached desired consistency.
- 4.Serve hot.
