Rahul Gandhi says Prime Minister Narendra Modi "ran away" to Lovely University in Punjab, where he's "lecturing students" instead of taking part in a discussion in Parliament on the NDA's deal for French Rafale jets.
"Pradhan Mantri to Lovely University bhaag gaye (PM ran away to Lovely University)," Gandhi told reporters on Thursday. Around the same time, the Congress president tweeted that Modi had "fled Parliament" and was lecturing varsity students instead of attending Lok Sabha proceedings.
"I request the students there to, respectfully, ask him to please answer the four questions posed to him by me, yesterday," he said, referring to a battery of queries ("exam" questions, he said) he tweeted last night.
So it seems our PM has fled Parliament & his own open book Rafale exam & is instead lecturing students at Lovely Univ. in Punjab, today.Rahul Gandhi (@RahulGandhi) January 3, 2019
I request the students there to, respectfully, ask him to please answer the 4 questions posed to him by me, yesterday. #RafaleScam
Gandhi did not answer a question on his remarks on the ANI editor who interviewed Modi on New Year's Day. He had called her a "pliable" journalist.
