Xiaomi claims that the Mi AirPOP is designed keeping in mind the rising air pollution in India and is customised to deal with "day-to-day use in Indian conditions". Comfort is one of the concerns of the users and Xiaomi has taken that into consideration to design mask. The company says that the mask is designed with skin friendly fabric and a 3D effect that offers a smooth and comfortable fit to the users. Xiaomi also keeps safety first in mind and says that it has passed international tests to ensure complete consumer protection.
The Mi AirPOP comes with four layers of filtration -- primary, support mesh, electrostatic micro-filtration and water permeable -- to combat air pollutants entering the nostrils and mouth of the users. The anti-pollution mask is designed using a special "non-woven microfiltration material that is soft, light and gentle". The tiny pores on the mask are said to help is blocking out particulate matter. Another special feature of the Xiaomi AirPOP mask is that it comes with a large vortex breathing valve that quickly "discharges warm air and vapour while blocking out pollutants". The constant air refreshing design, Xiaomi claims, also reduce eyeglass fogging.
