Kerala: Two coaches of Mangalore Mail derailed near Shornur

Two coaches of 12601 Mangalore Mail derailed near Shornur in the Palakkad district of Kerala Tuesday morning. The superfast express runs between the cities of Chennai and Mangalore.
The incident happened when the train was entering the Shornur station.

The train covers more regions in North Kerala which is the Malabar region, mainly between Shoranur Junction and Mangalore Central.
There are several train accidents and derailment news reported this month from various parts of the country.
Delhi-bound Seemanchal Express was crossing Vaishali district in Bihar when the train derailed due to a fracture in railway tracks. The incident claimed seven lives.
Railway officials said two people sustained grievous injuries while 27 have minor injuries. The accident occurred around 3:50am. A total of 11 coaches were derailed in the accident. Railway officials said the train was travelling at high speed at the time of the accident.
Just few days ago, a train derailed in Kangra valley which was heading to heading to Pathankot. The incident happened due to heavy rains in the valley.
A goods train in Ranchi derailed just two days ago of the Kangra valley train accident. The derailment happened between Khalari and Ray stations of Jharkhand's capital Ranchi. The incident disturbed train movement in Dhanbad Rail Division.
However, no causalities were reported in both the cases.
