Trouble attaching files in your Gmail? Seems you are not alone as Google's Drive, Gmail and Maps are experiencing outages in many countries with users complaining that they are unable to send emails, attach files in Gmail and access files on Drive.
According to Downdetector.com, a website that tracks problems and outages with various services and apps, the outages are being experienced in parts of India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, China, Australia and the US.
Gmail has more than one billion users across the globe. Going by the data shared by the website, about 36 percent of Gmail users are having issue logging into the mailing service. Some are having trouble sending emails.
"Message could not be sent. Check your network and try again" - this is the message that the affected Gmail users are seeing when trying to send a mail.
About 32 per cent are facing difficulty in receiving messages and almost 30 per cent users are having trouble while uploading the attachments.
In case of Google Drive, 42 per cent of Drive users are unable to access the file online, 32 per cent of affected users are unable to load the app, and lastly the rest 24 per cent of users are facing trouble in file syncing.

Google has not stated any reason for the outage or until when can these issues be resolved. Almost 2 to 3 hours after the first issue was reported on social media, Google acknowledged the issue in an official statement.
"We're investigating reports of an issue with Gmail. We will provide more information shortly. The affected users are able to access Gmail, but are seeing error messages, high latency, and/or other unexpected behavior," the company posted at 8:23 am on its G Suite Status Dashboard on Wednesday.
This was followed by another statement at 10:14 am- "We are continuing to investigate this issue. We will provide an update by 3/13/19, 11:14 AM detailing when we expect to resolve the problem. Users will have issues accessing or attaching files in various products. This includes Gmail and Drive. Gmail: Attaching or accessing attachments, as well as accessing and saving draft emails and sending emails. Drive: Upload and download of files."
This is not the year's first outage with Google services. A similar but brief outage had occurred in January affecting users living in parts of Europe, parts of North America, South America and Asia. Users all across the globe reported of a 404 error when they tried accessing the Gmail.
