Bharat, starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, is one of the most anticipated releases of this year. The film helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar revolves around a son’s promise to his father during the 1947 India-Pakistan partition. That being said, it was, unarguably, a huge responsibility for the filmmaker to depict a scenario as crucial as this. Recently, he made an interesting revelation about the same. Taking to his social media accounts, Ali confessed that the partition scene was the most challenging part of Bharat.

In the post, the Sultan filmmaker shared a series of pictures from the making of Bharat’s partition scene. The pictures had an ocean of people, who were gearing up to migrate from one country to another. We also saw a glimpse of Jackie Shroff and Sonali Kulkarni (who play the role of Bharat’s parents) along with the young Bharat, as they were struggling to gather the entire family to migrate. In his caption, Ali defined this particular scene as the soul of the film he wrote, “Partition was the most challenging part of Bharat, to recreate the scale of this defining moment of history and to keep the emotions Zinda in the middle of that chaos… is the soul of an extraordinary journey of an extraordinary man #BHARAT.”

Earlier, Ali Abbas Zafar revealed how the title for Bharat came into existence. He said, "I thought Ram is an ideal hero from mythology. Could the character be called Arjun because he is doing it for his dharma, karma? Or should he be called Karna, a selfless hero? What do I call the film? I felt if he is synonymous with what the nation has been over the generations, he should be named after the country. One night at 3 AM, I was tossing on the bed, thinking hard, and then I had it: Bharat.”

With Salman and Katrina playing the lead roles in the movie, Bharat also has an ensemble cast of actors like Tabu, Jackie Shroff, Disha Patani, Nora Fatehi and Sunil Grover. It is scheduled to hit the big screens on June 5, 2019.
