HIGHLIGHTS

  • Light spells of rain is forecast for Tuesday in Manchester
  • India take on New Zealand in World Cup 2019 semi-final at Old Trafford
  • ICC has a reserve day for semi-finals and final of World Cup 2019
India take on New Zealand in the big semi-final of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 at Old Trafford in Manchester on Tuesday, June 9. "Manchester weather today" is among the most searched keywords as it has been overcast in the city since the morning. Keep in mind, the ICC has a reserve day in case the match gets washed out on Tuesday. However, there are no predictions for heavy rain at Old Trafford.

India qualified for the semi-final after finishing the league stages at the top of the World Cup 2019 points table. On the other hand, New Zealand finished 4th after being tied on points with 5th-placed Pakistan, thanks to their better net run rate. All eyes on the Manchester weather today as rain is predicted during the 2nd half of the semi-final.

India are starting as favourites, considering their run to the finals of World Cup 2019. Virat Kohli's men have been able to mask their shortcomings wonderfully well and have been clinical, more often than not. Barring the loss to England at Edgbaston, India have been spotless in the tournament.

On the other hand, New Zealand are heading into the semi-final on the back of 3 loses on the bounce. Kane Williamson's men need to step up if they are to test India in the big-semi-final.
